Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has given priority and speed to the rail system works in the new period. In this context, the work on the Eminönü - Alibeyköy Tram Line, which was hampered by construction, gained momentum.
Due to the work, infrastructure displacement (transportation) will be done by İSKİ and İGDAŞ in Alibeyköy. For this reason, Atatürk Avenue - Yavuz Selim Bridge Junction 26.08.2019 Starting from Monday, 30 will be closed to traffic for the day.
Traffic in the region, Kıryokuşu Street shown on the map, Nihan Street and Ceylan Street will operate without interruption in two-way. It is recommended that vehicles that will use Alibeyköy Atatürk Street in transit use Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard as an alternative.
ENVIRONMENTAL ENAMELY TRAMVAY
The Eminonu-Alibeykoy Tram Line, which will integrate the rail system, sea and rubber wheeled public transportation vehicles in the city center, is expected to be completed in the second half of 2020.
Eminonu Square KabataşThe tram, which will start integrated with Bağcılar Tramway, will pass through historical districts such as Unkapanı, Cibali, Fener, Balat, Ayvansaray, Eyüp, Silahtarağa and reach Alibeyköy Cep Bus Terminal. When the tramway is completed, uninterrupted public transportation will be provided by rail system to 3 different universities on the route with Feshane, Eyüp State Hospital, Piyer Loti Hill and Alibeyköy Pocket Bus Station.
Daily 114 will have a capacity of carrying thousands of passengers 10 kilometer 14 station tram and Eminönü-Alibeyköy Pocket Bus Station will be reduced to 35 minutes. Along the route it is completely catenary (power pole) and no overhead cables will be used. The tram vehicles will receive their energy from a system embedded between the two rails.
