The Babadağ Cable Car Project, which is expected to be one of Europe's favorite paragliding areas when it is put into service, is expected to be completed in 2020. The project, the foundation of which was laid in August 2017, is expected to bring 1 million visitors to the summit annually.
The tender for Babadağ Cable Car Project, realized by Fethiye Power Union Company, was held in Fethiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FTSO) Meğri Hall. The tender was held with the partnership of Kırtur Company and the opposite Burkay and Valter companies. According to the result of the tender won by Kırtur Limited Company, the firm has agreed to give the annual rental price of 2 million 250 thousand lira and 12,5% of its earnings to Fethiye Power Union. Efforts are underway to open the ropeway project, with a total cost of $ 30 million, in 2020.

The starting station of the cable car, which will be built on the south-west slope of Babadağ, will be built on Yasdam Street in Ovacık District, and the end station will be built next to the 1700-meter runway at the Babadağ summit.
