Oğuz pointed out that they attach great importance to the problems experienced in Boğaçayı and said that short, medium and long term solutions will be implemented in line with the recommendations of the Scientific Committee.

EXPERIMENTS AND MEASUREMENTS IN PROGRESS
Oğuz said that the water quality and hydrogeological structure and sediment accumulation measurements have started in Boğaçayı and said, ın Following the completion of these studies, short, medium and long term solutions will be put into practice for the elimination of the problems experienced next week. In our meeting with the Scientific Committee, the error of the project was mentioned in general. It was stated that the project was confronted with a lagoon due to the failure of the project, that hydrogen sulphide outlets would occur and that sludge would form due to deposition. ”
Dr. Cem Oguz, Boğaçayı'nda with the recommendations of the Scientific Committee after the completion of experiments and measurements, said the final report will be prepared. Oğuz also stated that academicians from the Marine and Coastal Engineering Departments of METU and Yıldız Technical Universities will contribute to the study.
MEETING WILL BE HELD WITH THE PROJECT OWNER
Cem Oğuz stated that after the professional chambers, non-governmental organizations and academics, a meeting will be held with the organization that makes the Boğaçayı project and said: ız We will also share the problems with the organization. Currently, the project is said to cause 34 centimeters of material to accumulate each year, but 5 meters have been measured from time to time in the 1.70 monthly time frame. There are some unforeseen negativities in the project. When we clean the plants there, problems such as lack of oxygen in the water, sludge due to organic matter problems, odor with hydrogen sulphide output, and death of living organisms can be encountered. In addition, when cleaning plants, mud will appear and cause turbidity. Thousands of people swim in the 6.5 km Konyaaltı Beach. If these problems persist, the sea may become inaccessible. Therefore, interventions related to cleanliness cannot be made fully. But after all these measurements, studies, technical and scientific data have been revealed, we will implement short term solutions. ”
