Freight Wagons Produced In Sivasta Will Be Sent To Azerbaijan

Freight wagons produced in Sivas will be sent to Azerbaijan. Production has begun for the prototype of the two freight cars. If an agreement is reached, 600 wagons will be produced. If the wagons produced by TÜDEMSAŞ pass the tests, an income of 36 million dollars will be obtained from Azerbaijan.

Mehmet Başoğlu, Deputy General Manager of TÜDEMSAŞ, said that the prototypes of 2 freight wagons are currently being produced in Sivas.

The wagons produced by TÜDEMSAŞ will continue to serve on Turkish and European Railways. Azerbaijan had requested 36 freight wagon prototypes from TÜDEMSAŞ for an order of 2 million dollars. Currently, work is being done on freight wagons. After the prototypes produced successfully pass the tests, an agreement will be made between the two countries at the point of wagon production. Following the contract to be signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the coming days, serial wagon production will start in Sivas.
