Babadağ Cable Car Will Host 1 Million People Every Year

Babadağ Air Sports and Recreation Center in Fethiye district of Muğla became the bread gate of district tourism. The number of paragliding jumps in the first half of the year increased by 18 percent compared to last year.

In Babadağ, which is seen as the 'window to the world' of Fethiye, this increase was also reflected in tourism revenues. The density made the tourism tourists laugh. Osman Çıralı, President of Fethiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FTSO), said, “2018 thousand 162 flights were made from Babadağ in 776. The number of flights, which was 45 thousand 575 in the first six months of last year, increased to 53 thousand 900 in the same period of this year. We expect the number of hops to exceed 200 thousand by the end of the year. ”

Çıralı also gave information about the ropeway project planned to be implemented in Babadağ in order to spread tourism to 12 months. Explaining that the 30 million dollar ropeway project will be put into service in 2020, Çıralı said, "With the ropeway project, Babadağ will host approximately 1 million people every year." – morning
