Within the scope of the modernization project of Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport-Kirazlı metro line, the first result of the ongoing works was taken at Bayrampaşa station.
With the platform length and top cover extension works made at the station, a connection was made on the overpass on the motorway that cuts the Maltepe and Rami districts, making it easier for citizens living in the Maltepe region to access the station. With the entrance to the overpass, the daily passenger capacity of the station increased by approximately 2000. In the connection works, an additional elevator and an escalator were activated and the work was carried out without loss of the accessibility of the station.
Within the scope of the modernization project, activities such as platform extension and top cover addition are carried out at other stations without closing the stations and interrupting the operation.
