Izmir Metropolitan Municipality banned carriage in Izmir city. Izmir Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) General Assembly canceled the "Carriage Working Principles and Procedures Directive" which was implemented in previous years and closed the phaeton period in İzmir. On the other hand, the phaeton business within the IZULAŞ affiliated with the Municipality was closed as of May 1. Again in line with the UKOME decision; KarşıyakaThe activities of 32 carriages in Selçuk and Dikili were also terminated. A ban was imposed on the exit of vehicles drawn with animals to the boulevards and streets in the city center.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which has terminated its carriage service in the Alsancak-Kordon region through the IZULAŞ Horse Carriage Plant since May 1, implemented legal arrangements for the city in the second step of the application. With the decision of the General Assembly of UKOME, "Carriage Working Principles and Procedures Directive" which was implemented in previous years was canceled.
