Public Transportation Free During the Holidays in Izmir

All public transportation vehicles belonging to Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will provide free service during Ramadan Feast. The free tariff will be available on Tuesday, June 4, Wednesday, June 5, and on Thursday, June 6. In addition, buses allocated for cemetery visits will be at the service of the people of Izmir.

In line with the decision adopted in the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Council, all public transportation vehicles belonging to the municipality will provide free services during the Ramadan Feast (Tuesday, June 4, Wednesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 6). All precautions were taken in ESHOT, İZDENİZ, İzmir Metro and İZBAN to prevent any problems during the holiday.

İzmir people will also benefit from public transport free of charge for the cemetery visits. During the three-day Eid al-Fitr during the 08.00-17.25 hours, the free flights and departure points to the cemeteries are as follows:

Konak - Karabağlar Cemetery, Yeşilyurt Cemetery (Movement: Bahribaba bus platforms)
Konak - Hacılararkırı Cemetery (Movement: Customs)
Karşıyaka İskele - Soğukkuyu Cemetery, Örnekköy Cemetery (Movement: Karşıyaka pier bus platforms)
Bornova - Old Cemetery, New Cemetery, Hacılarkırı Cemeteries (Movement: Bornova Merkez)
Şirinyer - Buca Eski Mezarlık, Buca New Cemetery, Gökdere Cemetery (Movement: Şirinyer Transfer Center)
Balcova Cemetery (Movement: Fahrettin Altay Transfer Center)
Lower Narlidere Cemetery (Movement: Fahrettin Altay Transfer Center)
Cizazli Cemetery (Movement: Fahrettin Altay Transfer Center)

İZDENİZ General Directorate will organize ferry trips to Urla and Güzelbahçe on the second and third days of the holiday (5 and 6 June). Also, the Owl Expedition will continue on the ferries on Wednesday, June 5, Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8.
