Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Department and City Council jointly organized “Discover the City” bike ride was made.
Deputy Mayor Latif Karadağ, who made statements before the organization to increase the use of bicycles and to draw attention to bicycle paths, said that they want to expand the bicycle path and usage in Gaziantep.
Stating that it is necessary to encourage people to increase the use of bicycles, Montenegro said, “Bicycle is life. You will be a pioneer to create awareness especially about cycling, to make it a part of life and to increase as many users as possible. With this movement, we will place the bike in the center of life in our city. Biking is one of the main sports branches that brings us together and unites us and enables us to come together in society. With this movement, cycling will become widespread and become suitable in Gaziantep ”.
Stating that they have planned the 50 kilometer bike path and completed the 15 kilometer, Montenegro said, “In line with your demands, these roads will increase and wave cycling will enter our life in Gaziantep. I would like to thank the friends who organized this new event and the City Council Youth Center. Let's explore our city together and let the city discover the bike ”.
The bike ride with the participation of the average 350 people started at Mehmet Şimşek Tennis Complex and ended in Masal Park.
