İzmir Metropolitan Municipality has determined the public transportation prices as 19 kurus throughout the day in order to witness the enthusiastic and wide participation of the 1 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day celebrations that will take place on Sunday. With another proposal accepted in the Metropolitan Municipality Council, it was decided to provide free public transportation service during the Ramadan Feast.
Tunç Soyer In the second meeting of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Council, which was held under the chairmanship of the President, important decisions were taken regarding public transportation. In order to facilitate participation in the 100 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day celebrations, which will celebrate the 19th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's arrival in Samsun, a special tariff has been determined to be valid only on 19 May for public transportation vehicles belonging to the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Accordingly, on Sunday, May 19, the boarding fee for buses, ferries, metro, trams and suburban vehicles will be only 1 cent.
Transportation is free during Ramadan Feast
Another proposal adopted in the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Council was to provide free public transportation service during the Ramadan Feast. The application of free tariff in public transportation vehicles belonging to the Metropolitan Municipality was accepted by voting in the Assembly.
