Public transport in Turkey with 314 the number of vehicles having one of the largest vehicle fleet in Sanliurfa Metropolitan Municipality, in order to provide better services for citizens taking the steps in light rail transportation.
The system, whose preliminary project and feasibility studies have been completed, will extend from Karaköprü to Eyyübiye.
Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality continues to innovate in transportation. Sanliurfa Metropolitan Municipality, which received national and international 6 award in the field of transportation in previous years, completed preliminary project and feasibility studies for light rail system.
The rail system will be 15.3 kilometers long and consist of 16 stations on Karaköprü - Abide - Eyyübiye route. Transportation will be diversified and easier with the rail system, which will be the first in Şanlıurfa. Offering a fast, safe, economical and environmentally friendly solution, the system will initially serve with a total of 34 vehicles. The line, which has a capacity of 225 thousand passengers per day and 80 million passengers per year, will facilitate two-way transportation along the north south corridor of the city.
The rail system that will keep the values of the city at their thematic stops and vehicles will also contribute to tourism and thanks to the investment to be made, both passengers and traffic will relax.
Each 430 passenger will have a passenger capacity on each route, while each 2.5 will carry one passenger per minute, while the vehicle will have all kinds of safety and comfort.
