In order to ease the traffic of Mustafa Kemal Sahil Boulevard and bring a breath of fresh air to the region, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which took the traffic in front of Mithatpaşa Park underground, turned this new vehicle underpass into a giant square that suits İzmir.

The 71 square meter square in front of Mithatpaşa Park consists of a children's playground, a show area that can be used as a stage, a water playground, recreation areas, bicycle and pedestrian paths, specially designed urban equipment, automatic toilets and event areas. The monument sculpture work of artist Günnur Özsoy gives a different atmosphere to the square where the Quarantine Ferry Pier is located and the Konak Tram passes.

With its green texture, different landscaping practices and play groups, this new square will bring aesthetically important value to the region, bringing the people of Izmir to the coastline of 1200.
