THY's relocation process from Atatürk Airport to Istanbul Airport continues. THY shipped the equipment, materials and machinery of some of its units with a 35 TIR convoy yesterday. The major move will end on March 3, 2019.
Turkish Airlines (THY) is moving its new base from Ataturk Airport to Istanbul Airport. Following the official opening of the airport at 29 in October 2018, THY started flight to 18 point gradually in domestic and international flights.
As part of the relocation project to Istanbul Airport, THY made a shipment of 35 trucks, consisting of ground handling, cargo and materials, equipment and machinery belonging to THY Teknik, from Ataturk Airport yesterday. Loading, shipping and downloading processes during transportation were recorded and monitored live via the online tracking system. Shipments will continue throughout the month. The moving process will end with the big move planned on 1-3 March 2019. Atatürk Airport will be closed to commercial flights on 3 March. – morning
