11 February 1878 with the will of the operating company of Rumelia railways was accepted to be the nationality of Austria. The name of the company became the Orient Railways Operating Company.
11 February 1888 Sirkeci Train Station construction started. The building, designed by the architect Prussian Ogust Yasmund, entered service on November 3, 1890.
