Bosphorus Bridges Burned Blue-Orange On World Cancer Day

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality illuminated the Galata Tower with blue-orange light to draw attention to the 4 February World Cancer Day. 15 July Martyrs' Bridge, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge also became blue-orange due to World Cancer Day.

International Cancer Control Organization (UICC) and international partner organizations are organizing events around the world to raise awareness of cancer that causes millions of deaths every year and to raise public awareness of this disease.

On World Cancer Day, the symbol buildings of important cities in the world are illuminated by the blue and orange colors of the campaign colors of the UICC. The 4 February World Cancer Day events, highlighted by various activities, support the symbolic works in Istanbul.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality illuminated the Galata Tower with blue-orange light to draw attention to World Cancer Day. Galata Tower lighting work was carried out by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Energy Management and Lighting Department. Lighting began in the evening hours, continued until the morning sun was born.

July 15 Martyrs Bridge of the most important symbolic buildings of Istanbul, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge also create awareness against cancer and clothe this evening blue-orange colors to create awareness in society.

4 February World Cancer Day is to create awareness about cancer every year, get rid of misconceptions right is an important step in the fight against cancer and is celebrated throughout the world in order to target the right of access to everyone.
