In order to intervene effectively against possible fires that may occur on the rail system lines of Metro Istanbul, the routine fire simulation and drill was performed on the M5 Üsküdar-Çekmeköy metro line.
Umraniye, Uskudar, Yenidogan Firefighters and Metro Istanbul employees participated in the exercise, event detection, notification, fire crews to the scene of the transfer, informed and coordinated teams fire response work was applied. Technical information about Üsküdar-Çekmeköy metro line stations and vehicles, station control center and systems, tunnels and escape routes were informed to the firefighters. 02: In 45, fire notification was made for the Üsküdar-Çekmeköy metro line Çarşı station. Upon the notification received, the fire brigade team of Umraniye was quickly dispatched to the scene and intervened in the vehicle which was reported to be burning in the platform area of the Bazaar station. In accordance with the exercise scenario, the drill was successfully completed with the evacuation of a smoke-affected citizen from the scene and the cooling activities.
