Work continues on the “1915 Çanakkale Bridge”, which will become the world's largest middle span suspension bridge when it comes into service.

According to the statement made by the Governorship of Çanakkale, “The work of 18 Çanakkale Bridge, which was founded on March 2017, 1915 by our President Mr. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, is progressing rapidly.

One of the most important structures of the bridge, the 83,3 m x74 m dimensions were completed in dry ponds. The 50.186 tons weighted European Tower Concentric Basis and the 54.800 tons weighted Asian Tower Concentric foundations in the Wet Pool, which is the second manufacturing stage, was carried out on 18 January 2019.

Pebble bearing has been completed for the Asian Tower foundation of 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, where Asian and European Anchor works have been carried out with the manufacturing works in wet ponds and European and Asian Approach viaduct excavations are continuing.

On the basis of the European tower, the gravel bed is still underway. The work of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, the Malkara Junction and the Koru, continues to work on earthworks and art structures.

Total length 2.023 m. middle opening, 770'er m. along with side openings 3.563 m. length, steel tower height 318 m. 1915 will be the world's largest center-span suspension bridge when the Çanakkale Bridge is completed.
