Eight people died in a train accident on the Great Belt Bridge connecting the islands of Zealand and Fyn in Denmark.

Danish police stated that a total of 5 people, 3 women and 8 men, died. The accident occurred when the truck trailer in one of the wagons on the freight train moving to the island of Funen was thrown onto the train tracks due to a severe storm and hit the high-speed train coming from the opposite direction to the island of Zealand.

The Danish State Railways (DSB) stated that the number of injured in the train accident was not explained by the specialist doctors from other hospitals to the intensive care units for the rescue of those with severe condition; found that there was no crew among those who lost their lives.
