Czech CZ Loko won the public tender for the Slovenian rail operator Slovenske Železnice's cargo arm Tovorni Promet to supply four new diesel maneuvering locomotives for the Koper cargo station. CZ Loko, the only company participating in the tender, offered binary prices as 7.46 million EUR excluding VAT or 9.10 million including VAT.

Last year, Slovenske Železnice started to work with four new locomotives of Tovorni Promet's update of a total of 69 engine fleets, 139 of which are diesel engines. The company plans to buy additional diesel locomotives, as well as 2017 new multi-system electric locomotives and new electric locomotives to replace the old ones after 15.

In order to help Slovenske Železnice's renewal efforts, Tovorni Promet is seeking a strategic partner for 49% share from the two companies (French SNCF and Czech EPH), while the modernization of the passenger section of Slovenske Železnice is Swiss for the purchase of 26 new passenger trains. It is stated that it started with a contract of 169 million Euros with Stadler Rail and the company continues to negotiate with Stadler for 26 additional train purchases.
