the only way to prevent train accidents is the re-emergence of railway vocational high schools

Abdullah Peker, President of the Transport and Railway Employees Rights-Union, stated that the control of the road should be done by experts in order to avoid accidents like in Marşandiz station, re-opening the Railway Vocational High Schools, paying more attention to the Faculty of Rail Systems and Vocational Schools. He also said that railways should be operated by the state.

These accidents are not an event to be avoided by loading them to the lower level. We think that their contribution to the accident in the management unit is indirect. In the statement of UDEM HAK-SEN Incoming President Abdullah Peker, it is clearly seen in Ankara, Manşandiz station that the signaling error in the location where the Feci train accident occurred and the result of sending untrained personnel to duty. TCDD had thousands of road keepers years ago, why is this figure so low? There are now 59 road keepers. No new staff is recruited to replace the retired guard. We recommend increasing the number of road guards according to need.

In order to meet these personnel needs, the Railway Vocational High Schools should be reopened and the need to be put into service immediately emerged. More attention should be paid to the Faculty of Rail Systems and Vocational Schools.

I wish my condolences to the whole country and the railway community with the hope that the accident was the last accident.
May God give healing to our wounded. (Abdullah Peker President of UDEM HAK-SEN)
