The information obtained from the Port of Mersin, 33 BLV 15 plate trains tried to pass over the train tracks.
The freight train from the port hit the truck, which was on the rails. Noticing the truck at the last moment, the mechanic tried to stop the train. While the train stopped after dragging the truck for a short time, luckily the truck driver escaped the accident unscathed.
The road was closed to traffic due to the accident, the tractor was damaged, towed with the help of the road and the train line again opened to traffic.
An investigation into the accident was initiated.
