In addition to the TCDD delegation headed by Apaydin, Isfahan Governorship, UIC General Manager Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, General Director of Iran Railways (RAI) Saeed Mohhamadzadeh, Iraq Railways (IRR), Afghanistan Rail Authority (ARA), Syrian Railways (CFS), Syria Hicaz Railways (SHR), Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) representatives and UIC RAME Office employees participated.

At the meeting, the report on the activities of the UIC RAME and UIC Regional Office in the second half of the 2018, the update of the 2019-2020 Action Plan and the preparation of a booklet linking Asia to Europe and the International Railway Corridors passing through the Middle East were discussed by the UIC Middle East Coordinator. information on the activities and financial issues planned to be carried out within the region in the upcoming period.

In the meeting where the member countries of the region also explained the developments in their own countries, information about the UIC Middle East Railway Training Center-MERTCe and its activities were also given.

After the RAME meeting, the meeting between TCDD and RAI raised the volume of freight and passenger transport between the two countries, speeding up the studies on IT between the two administrations, the new railway line planned to be made between the two countries, the cooperation on the education issues and the enhancement of the existing cooperation. .
