A lawsuit filed by the EGEÇEP, TMMOB, Doğa Association and 85 citizens against the Izmir Bay Crossing Project included in the AKP's local election declaration. The lawyers and bureaucrats of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and the General Directorate of Highways claimed that the EIA file is procedural and will not harm the areas it will pass.
