Ropeway Project to Be Implemented in Sapanca Will Contribute to Tourism

Sapanca Mayor Assoc. Dr. Aydin Yilmazer, in the district made explanations about the ropeway project. Yılmazer stated that they are planning all details for the cable car stations in order not to give any negative effects to the environment.

Stating that the ropeway project will give a great impetus to the district tourism, Mayor Yılmazer said, “This project is a project we have implemented in order to increase the attractiveness of our district. Of course, this is not just about ropeway. In the 5-acre A-type area we have paid for the above 70 years, it will be implemented together with the cable car in social facilities. The cable car project will provide a great gain to the local people, our district and our city. ”

Stating that they take into account the sensitivity of the application area while preparing the project, Yılmazer said, “We have a total of 3 parking areas in our cable car station in Kırkpınar, one underground. We will eliminate the vehicle traffic that our citizens will come to get on the cable car with these car parks. We planned 3 parking lots, one underground for both large and small vehicles. Entrance and exit of all car parks are provided from the main road. In this way, we prevent vehicle traffic from entering the inner quarters and the inconvenience that may occur here. ”

Yılmazer, who stated that they pay attention to protect the green area in the region, completed his statement as follows:

“Our car park on the side of the cable car station is underground. Above this area, we also have a green area, playgrounds and a sports area. In other words, we take great care not to spoil the current tissue. Our other 2 car parks are located on the opposite side of the road. We will provide pedestrian traffic from these car parks with the overpass to be built. An area of ​​only 670 square meters will be used for the station and wood will be built predominantly to be compatible with the environment. There is no material in the entire project that will affect human health. Since the motors are electrical, they will not cause any environmental noise. In the contract we made with the company that won the tender, we put substances especially in the respect of the environment. In other words, all the details I have stated are also included in the contract. As the local government, we are happy to bring the cable car project, which we consider in detail, to be the first in our city, to Sapanca. ”
