“In the highway sector, within the scope of the 'TRNC Highway Master Plan', it is aimed to construct 255 kilometers of new roads, 145 kilometers of divided roads and 400 kilometers of single roads. The allocation for 2018 for the project in question is 45 million TL. As of 2018, 4 road construction and one repair and superstructure reinforcement tenders are carried out in TRNC. The total project cost is 396 million TL, and 122 million TL has been spent. By 2020, 68 kilometers of divided roads and 14 kilometers of secondary roads will be built, and an investment of 274 million lira is aimed.
Pointing out that they will make evaluations about the construction of harbors and airfields, Turhan said that joint projects are going on in communication and that this year's allowance for the projects in question is 35 million lira.
Turhan emphasized that they will continue to support the TRNC on communication issues and that joint projects between the two countries will be discussed in detail at the meeting.
