How to Perform Flight Control Tests at Airports

These devices and systems, which operate on the basis of 24 hours, have monitors that can control themselves, warn them of any disturbances or broadcast disturbances and automatically shut down the system.

However, these monitors can only control their immediate surroundings. They cannot provide information about the accuracy of the broadcast at a longer distance, whether they are affected by environmental conditions or whether there are initiatives.

For this reason, it is necessary to test the accuracy, reliability, compliance with international standards with a specially equipped aircraft and specially trained, qualified flight crew.

In addition, the continuous operation and signal performance of the systems and devices are of international standards and it is of great importance to keep the airports open to service in all kinds of meteorological conditions. This is only possible with Flight Control tests.

Flight Control Tests are carried out by the flight control team consisting of two twin-engineed KontrCessna Citation XLS flight control aircraft and expert personnel who are equipped with a fully automatic flight control system.

Laser Camera and Satellite Based work; This crew performs the flight control of all communication systems, which are called 'Air Navigation Assistant' in all airports in the world.

Also, 2 EC 145 model helicopter on our radar in Turkey's airspace, air navigation aids, air-ground communications equipment and staff and is provided being referred to local needs as soon as the material to eliminate immediately the fault of the system.

The Flight Control Department performs 55 electronic air navigation aids and 351 pieces of visual PAPI-VASI at the 102 Airport.

The Flight Control Directorate carries out these services; 8 Aircraft Pilot, 5 Helicopter Pilot, 6 Flight Control Technician and 1 administrative personnel. Flight Control Pilot and Electronic Technicians are all qualified and qualified personnel.
