İzmir Metropolitan Municipality took measures to facilitate the access of the candidates to the examination centers due to the university exams to be held this weekend. Expeditions were strengthened especially on the intensity of the campus.
Due to the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) to be held between June 30 and July 1, transportation institutions of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, ESHOT, İzmir Metro and İZDENİZ took a series of measures. Firstly, the number of trips was increased in line with the density to be experienced.
Bus times
Accordingly, additional trips were made on the lines where the test centers are concentrated and the lines connected to the metro and Bornova Metro - Ege University Campus number 525 and Tınaztepe-Campus lines numbered 412, taking into account the exam hours. The 353 Gaziemir – Tınaztepe line will serve in accordance with the exam hours on Sunday. 290 Bostanlı İskele - Tınaztepe, 390 Tınaztepe - Bornova Metro, 596 Katip Çelebi University - Egekent Transfer and 690 Tınaztepe - F.Altay Transfer lines will serve on Saturday and Sunday in the morning. At the end of the exam, a sufficient number of buses will be allocated to the city center from the regions where the exam centers are located.
Frequency increased in Metro
Due to YKS, the frequencies of voyages were increased in the Izmir Metro. 06.00 minutes between 07.30-10 and 07.30 minutes between 20.00-5 on Saturday. On Sunday, the frequency of expeditions was determined as 06.00 minutes between 06.30-10 and 06.30 minutes between 20.00-6.
The General Directorate of İZDENİZ made the necessary arrangements to make additional trips in line with the passenger density.
