Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is continuing its efforts to provide easy access for citizens on foot. For this purpose, the Department of Transportation, which established pedestrian bridges where necessary, is building another passage in Gebze. The pedestrian bridge built in the Gebze Peace neighborhood will be an important gateway to the pedestrian flow over the YHT railway.
40 METERS LONG
The largely completed pedestrian bridge is being built in 40 meters long 3 meters wide. Total 135 tons of steel material is used in the construction of the pedestrian overpass. The pedestrian bridge which runs on both sides of the pedestrian bridge is also equipped with a disabled elevator.
SKIRTING FLOOR
A pedestrian track material is used to prevent pedestrians from walking on the floor of the pedestrian bridge. Manufacture of decks and ladder workshops continues. Stairway and landscaping applications of the overpass continue.
MORE ON A YAYA BRIDGE
The Metropolitan Municipality is building another pedestrian bridge on the D-100 in the Gebze region. Bridge works are underway in Osman Yılmaz District. This pedestrian bridge will provide uninterrupted pedestrian flow through the D-100.
