THE EFFECTS OF INDUSTRIAL 4.0 AND LOGISTICS
Conducting a presentation within the scope of the 8th Logistics and Trade Meeting organized jointly by Maltepe University International Trade and Logistics Club and the Faculty of Business and Management, International Trade and Logistics Department, Eldener shared the trends in the logistics industry with the participants. "THE FUTURE OF LOGISTICS INDUSTRY IN TURKEY AND IN THE WORLD"
Necmettin Erbakan University (NEU) by the Logistics Information Society "Future of Logistics Industry in the World and Turkey" conference was held on 22 March. Kosta Sandalcı, Speaker of the International Transport and Logistics Service Association UTİKAD Board of Directors and FIATA Honorary Member, attended the conference held at the Faculty of Applied Sciences. Explaining that it is very important to learn the language of students, Sandalcı stated that being a soldier and working in student life is a serious advantage in terms of finding a job in the sector, and in 2030, 50 percent of today's jobs will not exist.

Indicating that blockchain technologies will be used in logistics sector as well as in many sectors, Uğur said; He said that processes will become practical with this technology. “When you want to bring a frozen product from East Africa to a European port, you need to get approval from 30 different approval mechanisms and 200 times communication between stakeholders is required. Since this frozen food will go in the container, heat tracking must be done automatically, and not to be left to the captain of the ship. Blockchain technologies will be useful in combating false bill of lading. The bill of lading is still a valuable document, especially in maritime transport. Expressing that the cost paid to prepare the document in some types of transport is between 15 percent and 50 percent of the total cost of the transport, General Manager Cavit Uğur said, “Shippers, carriers, customs enterprises, banks, ports, terminals and buyers will benefit from this process very seriously. Shippers and buyers will be able to see the origin and the real price of the goods with blockchain technology. Is it possible to follow instantly, is this really made in China or in Bangladesh? The collections will be made in more democratic environments. ” The workshop ended with the presentations of academics and industry stakeholders, as well as entrepreneurs who have studies on the subject.
