TCDD's 10 High Speed Train Acquisition Tender was made with the credit obtained from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) with the participation of international companies active in this field. The tender with the bargaining method was awarded by the Spanish CAF company with the lowest bid 3 Euro in the tender held by the 273.257.433 international group of companies. This was followed by German Siemens AG-Siemens AS with 349.345.401,91 Euro. The final company was French Alstom and its offer had been approximately 362 million Euros.
Siemens has been invited by the General Directorate of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) to offer 312 new high-speed train tender for the 10 new high-speed train tender.
TCDD tender commission, the most appropriate bid with 349 million euros given by Siemens said. A commission decision was approved by the Islamic Development Bank, which will provide 312 million-euro financing support for train sets.
The General Directorate of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) also invited Siemens to this agreement. High-speed train sets are expected to be delivered 15 months after signing the contract. It is aimed to start commercial flights with sets in 2 year.
The 7 very high speed train set ordered by Siemens AG-Siemens AS was put into service in 2016. 45 first class, 4 3 passenger class, 12 seats, 424 seats, 36 seats, 2 seats and 519 seats features.
