Quality Increases on Rail with TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ and Anadolu University

Inaugural meeting of 36 Project for the Development of Vocational Qualifications and Training Programs for Rail Systems Passenger Services Personnel, which will be implemented for the duration of 9 month, was realized in cooperation with Anadolu University and European Commission, Ministry of European Union, EU Education and Youth Programs Center. In his speech at the meeting, Deputy General Manager of TCDD Transportation Inc., Çetin Altun expressed that Anadolu University has trained a very important number of trained and equipped human resources for the railway sector and thanked Anadolu University lecturers who contributed to the training of the people who will serve in the railway sector.

As a result of 15 billion TL investment made in our sector in the last 62 year, Altun stated that high-speed and fast rail projects, renewal and modernization of the existing system, the development of advanced and national railway industry, and the liberalization of railway transport were carried out and that the has become one of the dynamic sectors.

Altun, who has been providing information about the activities of TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ and the amount of cargo and passengers carried since the day it was established, underlines that our company handles its training programs with a new management approach and new perspective and attaches importance to in-service training programs in order to provide human resources suitable for the needs of our developing and changing sector. he drew.

He stated that TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ has been training its employees with the aim of continuous education and support for education, and provided internship opportunities for students from secondary education to undergraduate education.

Altun underlined that the training project prepared under the coordination of Anadolu University, in cooperation with Germany, England and Italy will make a significant contribution to the human resources needed by the railway sector. He ended his speech by thanking to all parties who were partners in the project, who gave great effort and support.

Speaking at the meeting, Rector of Anadolu University. Dr. Naci Gündoğan informed that after the 36 month training program, a department called Passenger Services Systems will be opened in the Vocational School of Transportation.

Gündoğan stated that besides the technical personnel, service personnel are very important in the rail systems sector. from ticketing service to road safety service, from consultancy services to cafeteria services, they will train knowledgeable and competent people in many service branches, and will fill a big gap in the field and lead the way for the railway sector to be made in EU standards in our country.
