Republican People's Party (CHP) Kocaeli Deputy Haydar Akar, closely related to our city, the issue of the suburban train moved to the Parliament. Akar made a short speech at the plenary session of the parliament and said suburban flights should be resumed. Haydar Akar gave the following statements in his speech;
“Mr. President, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım stated at the AKP Kocaeli Provincial Congress last weekend that the work for the metro project that will connect the region of Darıca, Gebze and Çayırova OIZs has started. In addition, he said that the metro project, which will connect Derbent, Izmit and Körfez districts, will also start studies. First of all, I welcome and support this as a Kocaeli Deputy, and I want to state that I will be a follower of the issue. However, I would like to further emphasize that the Derbent-Izmit-Körfez metro project, which will start the study, will remain lame when Gebze is not included.
The fact that the Adapazari-Istanbul regional train and the Gebze-Istanbul commuter trains, which were working every day until the 2012 but were stopped in 2012, were working again as soon as possible, while relieving the traffic in Kocaeli, it was necessary to use the 30 as a means of transportation for the citizens.
