Initiatives were made by TCDD General Directorate for the payment of Land Compensation to Wagon Technicians by United Transport Workers Union (BTS).
The following letter, sent to the State Personnel Presidency by the Union, was sent to the Wagon Technicians to pay land compensation.

Our union is the union of United Employees' Workers Union (BTS) Railways, Airports, Ports, Undersecretariat of Maritime Affairs and Public Employees working in the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications.
As it is known, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreements, 2016 has started to pay compensation for land personnel in the amounts determined by the name of 3 per month. However, the personnel who work with the title of Wagon Technician are not paid land compensation.
The interest for payment of land compensation is given in 11.01.2016 date and 312 of the Ministry of Finance of the Ministry of Finance (11.05.2006 26165 160). Within the scope of (a) of the order, the land areas are considered as the railway areas in which the land compensation will be paid.
(B) the response to our request to pay to the personnel of TCDD TAŞIMACILIK A.Ş. The 2018 of the Collective Agreement covering the years 2019-34 is included in this article and it is stated in this article that the title of Wagon Technician has not been included in the title of Land Compensation and therefore, it is not possible to give additional compensation to the Land Compensation Personnel requested.
Wagon Technicians in terms of title; It is in the same category as technicians (machinery technician, technician, engine technician, etc.) working in other branches, such as Gar, Port, loading and unloading sites, maintenance repair lines and connection lines, and is evaluated in terms of both title and actual working areas. Wagon Technicians working in the open area and technical services class should also be paid for land compensation.
On the other hand, as mentioned above, the name of a technician is a general title; Personnel such as Machine Technician, Electrical Technician and Engine Technician are not mentioned separately in the Collective Contract text and the title of Technician in general is indicated.
The opinion to be given by your Presidency regarding the issue is important in order to take the necessary steps to eliminate this victimization.
We request that the personnel working in the title of Wagon Technician of your Presidency receive the Land Compensation or not.
