Honorary Doctorate from Maltepe University

The Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Ahmet Arslan, was awarded an honorary doctorate by Maltepe University for his efforts and contribution in the planning, construction and finalization of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Line.

Arslan noted that with the opening of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Line, uninterrupted freight transportation from China to Europe was achieved, and they will soon connect this corridor to Iran by building the Kars-Iğdır-Dilucu-Nakhichevan-Iran line He explained that they will have the opportunity to connect the line to Pakistan.

Expressing that the importance of the project will be understood more in the future, Arslan stated that 240 million tons of freight is sent to Europe from China alone.
