Accident in Ankara Subway ... Flights Cannot Be Made

Two subway trains working for line maintenance in Ankara had an accident in the Ulus crossing zone, and the voyages in the direction of Kızılay-Batıkent were suspended. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Tuna apologized to the citizens for the problems to be experienced.

Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Tuna, who made a statement on the subject on his Twitter account, said, “This morning we started the day with a sad event. Two subway trains working for line maintenance crashed in the Ulus crossing area before the passenger transport service started in the direction of Kızılay - Batıkent. Heavy damage occurred in this area due to the accident.

Repair work started immediately after damage and due diligence studies. The metro line between İvedik - Kızlay stations will not be able to operate due to the accident; Passenger transfers on this line will take place via our EGO buses.

Tuna, EGO and Bugsaş tell our staff to get past, we apologize to all our citizens for the problems to be experienced ”.

While the voyages in the direction of Kızılay-Batıkent were suspended due to the accident that occurred in the Ulus scissors region, the passengers coming from Batıkent to the İvedik station were transferred to Kızılay by buses.

In order for the flights to return to normal, studies on Ulus scissors were reportedly continuing.
