FIATA Diploma Training Participants Visit Lotus

Participants continue their field visits in FIATA Diploma Training organized by International Transport and Logistics Service Providers Association (UTİKAD) with the support of Istanbul Technical University Continuing Education Center (ITUSEM).

Participants who visited Ekol Logistics' Lotus Plant in Şekerpınar on Saturday, January 13, 2018, within the scope of the Road Transport Module of FIATA Diploma Training, had the chance to examine the facility activities on site.

FIATA Diploma Education, organized by UTİKAD with the support of İTÜSEM, continues with field visits where practical applications are examined on-site, as well as the courses held at ITU Faculty of Business Administration.

In FIATA Diploma Training, where each mode of transport is processed with separate modules, the responsibilities of the documents used in the logistics industry, related conventions and logistics companies are covered by the training of sector managers and academicians. Thanks to this training, the participants have the opportunity to develop a business culture with local and international standards with a holistic approach.

Participants of FIATA Diploma Training visited Ekol Logistics' Lotus Facility in Şekerpınar on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Ekol Logistics manager Evren Özataş was accompanied by the participants who visited the facility as part of the Road Transport course given by Ekol Logistics Manager Akif Geçim. FIATA Diploma Training participants, who observed the loading operations at the Lotus Facility, were examined on the loading equipment site and a storage site was visited in the operational areas of the facility.

Akif Geçim, who gave information about the facility during the visit; “With the full service of the Lotus facility, the closed area where Ekol Logistics performs its operations will exceed 1 million square meters. Also, it is planned to reach a height of 40 meters in storage at Lotus. ”

The third term participants of FIATA Diploma Training, which has an important place in the Turkish logistics sector, will continue to receive practical training with field visits to be organized as well as theoretical training in the coming days.
