The First Stage of the 3rd Airport Metro Will Be Completed in 2018

The world's largest airport; While preparing for the end of the year with its technology, architecture, design and functional features, the Mayor of Eyüpsultan Remzi Aydın visited Istanbul New Airport construction site and made a review.

Mayor Remzi Aydın visited the new airport construction with Eyüpsultan Deputy Mayors, Assembly Members, unit managers, district bureaucrats, muhtars and NGO representatives. "We were excited, happy, proud," he commented.

During the visit, Mayor Aydın, who examined the works in the new airport construction on site, met with Yusuf Akçayoğlu, the CEO of IGA Airport Construction. A briefing was given to President Aydın on the works.

200 MILLION PASSENGER CAPACITY

On the European side of Istanbul, between İhsaniye and Akpınar Neighborhoods on the Black Sea coast of Eyüpsultan, and Tayakadın Neighborhoods, the airport, built on an area of ​​76,5 km2, will have six runways built independently of each other with its terminal that can be increased to 200 million passenger capacity per year.

The first stage of the airport, which is planned to be put into service on 29 October 2018, will consist of 90 million passenger terminal and 2 track.

The 380 bin 747 will be a meter-long and 3 meter wide for large-scale aircraft such as Airbus A750 and Boeing 60.

Istanbul New Airport, which is equipped with high technology, will be the world's highest passenger capacity airport after the completion of all stages.

METRO LINE PASSES FROM EYÜPSULTAN

Gayrettepe - Istanbul New Airport metro line will have a length of 66 kilometers. The first phase will be completed in 2018 and the second phase will be completed in 2021. The metro line will be located in Eyüpsultan, Kağıthane, Küçükçekmece, Şişli, Arnavutköy and Başakşehir districts. There will be a total of 13 stations, including Kemerburgaz, Göktürk and İhsaniye stations.
