3. Completing the First Stage of the Airport

Turkey's most important projects in the world and the largest airport in 3. airport technology, architecture, design and functional features at the end of the year while preparing for Eyüpsultan Mayor Remzi Aydin Istanbul New Airport visited the construction site and examined.

Mayor Remzi Aydın visited the new airport construction with Eyüpsultan Deputy Mayors, Assembly Members, unit managers, district bureaucrats, muhtars and NGO representatives. "We were excited, happy, proud," he commented.

During the visit, Mayor Aydın, who examined the works in the new airport construction on site, met with Yusuf Akçayoğlu, the CEO of IGA Airport Construction. A briefing was given to President Aydın on the works.

200 MILLION PASSENGER CAPACITY

On the European side of Istanbul, between İhsaniye and Akpınar Neighborhoods on the Black Sea coast of Eyüpsultan, and Tayakadın Neighborhoods, the airport, built on an area of ​​76,5 km2, will have six runways built independently of each other with its terminal that can be increased to 200 million passenger capacity per year.

The first stage of the airport, which is planned to be put into service on 29 October 2018, will consist of 90 million passenger terminal and 2 track.

The 380 bin 747 will be a meter-long and 3 meter wide for large-scale aircraft such as Airbus A750 and Boeing 60.

Istanbul New Airport, which is equipped with high technology, will be the world's highest passenger capacity airport after the completion of all stages.
