The Response from the Citizens of Serik to the High Speed ​​Train Route

The information meeting regarding the Kayseri-Nevşehir-Aksaray-Konya-Antalya High Speed ​​Train Project, which was planned to be made by TCDD and excited the people of the region on its route, was held in the Serik district of Antalya.

Mehmet Akın, Deputy Provincial Director of Environment and Urbanization said, “We are holding an informative meeting with the participation of our citizens regarding the promotion of the project by the Ministry. We will take your opinions about the project ”.

The company official who prepared the EIA report gave information about the project. The company official said that the 6-kilometer high-speed train project, which will pass through 603 provinces, will be the Antalya line of 107 kilometers, and there will be 31 tunnels, 22 bridges and 6 viaducts on the line that will pass through Manavgat, Serik and Aksu borders. "This work will take 4 years to complete," he said.

When asked about their opinion about the high-speed train project, the citizens who participated in the meeting stated that they were not against the high-speed train, but that the agricultural lands in the planned route will disappear as they would be able to bring farming and animal husbandry to the point of completion. Some citizens left the meeting.
