Mayor Osman Zolan: “This is our pride Denizli” Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan received an award at the symposium themed “Living Space of Information Society: Smart Cities” organized by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. Mehmet Özhaseki, Minister of Environment and Urbanization, presented the Smart City Applications award of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, which received great appreciation with its 23 different smart city applications.
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, which has received many awards with the projects and works it has implemented in Denizli, has added a new one to its success. Denizli Metropolitan Municipality was awarded the Smart City Applications award with its smart city applications. The “GIS Day Symposium and Fair” to be held by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization on the occasion of the World Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Day was held in Ankara. Many institutions from public institutions, municipalities, universities, non-governmental organizations and private sector participated in the ceremony hosted by Mehmet Özhaseki, Minister of Environment and Urbanization. Denizli Mayor Osman Zolan's "Smart City Example Applications in Turkey" main theme of the symposium participated as speaker in the panel "Habitats of the Information Society: Smart Cities" has been set. In the two-day program, institutions introduced smart city applications.
Denizli Metropolitan's smart city applications are appreciated

Traffic Management System, Transportation Portal, School Road Project, Public Transportation Control System, Green Wave System, Scada System, Smart Drip Irrigation System, Address Information System, Cemetery Information System, Responsibility Map, Denizli'm Project, Fire Department Information System, Aykome- Takbis-Nubis Projects, Smart City Denizli- GIS Portal, E-Signature Project, Collection of 112 in one number, Wastewater Treatment System, Energy Production from Biogas, We Take our Power from the Sun, Free Internet and Mobile Phone Charging Station , Water Meters Read Through Online System and Mobile Field Control System introduced.

At the end of the program the Minister Özhaseki, Turkey in general the smart city applications, "Smart City Applications", "Intelligent Transport Systems", "Intelligent Bike Paths", "R & D Activities in Smart City Subject", "Intelligent Traffic Management Interchange System", "History and The Smart Project for Touristic Promotion ”has given awards to the Municipalities of Denizli, Konya, Kayseri, Antalya, Osmaniye and Beyoğlu for their successful work on the themes of“ Accessible Cities in Smart Cities ”. Minister Özhaseki then visited the stand where Denizli's smart city applications were introduced and received information from Mayor Osman Zolan. Minister Özhaseki appreciated the smart city applications of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality and thanked Mayor Zolan for his services.

Denizli Mayor Osman Zolan, said Metropolitan Municipality is one of Turkey's most prominent public institutions and technological infrastructure. Emphasizing that they follow technology closely in order to intervene in the needs of Denizli people more quickly and effectively, Mayor Zolan stated that they are working for a Denizli that uses resources in a balanced way, environmentally friendly and facilitates the lives of citizens with the technologies it offers. Noting that they have done dozens of smart city projects from the School Road Project to the Adres Information System, from the renewable energy generation to the wastewater treatment system, Mayor Osman Zolan said: “We are very happy that we received such an important award among dozens of institutions in Ankara. This pride is for all of us, Denizli. These and similar awards that we receive with the support of our citizens further increase our motivation and strengthen our determination to work and our strength.
