Stating that they will open the Istanbul New Airport to flights on October 29, 2018, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ahmet Arslan said that the emergency and taxi routes have been completed on the first runway of the airport and work on the second runway has started.
Arslan stated that the first plane will be landed at Istanbul New Airport in February 2018, but the opening of the airport and the airline companies will take place on October 29, 2018.
