"Eskişehir Railway Buildings: Challenges and Opportunities for Industrial Heritage" exhibition opened

The student works exhibition titled “Eskişehir Railway Buildings: Challenges and Opportunities for Industrial Heritage”, led by faculty members of Anadolu University Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Architecture, was opened at TCDD Wagon Maintenance Workshop.

Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design Prof. Dr. Alper Çabuk said, “Most of the railway buildings used until recent years were abandoned after the high-speed train line construction and the wagon repair maintenance workshop moved to their new location, became dysfunctional and abandoned due to lack of maintenance. These public spaces are still strong representatives of the city's industrial heritage. ” He said that they opened the wagon repair and maintenance workshop for public use for exhibition for a short time, and thus they wanted to open the door to the ideas that will be produced in order for these historical places, which are in the memory of the society, to be included in the daily life of the city dweller.
