THE CHP MİLLETVEKİLİ MEHMET GÖKER'S EXPLANATION

Burdur is also on the agenda for many years, which is assumed to have passed the project of the High Speed Train and the feasibility studies have been carried out about all Burdur people are following closely.

In February 2017 Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Ahmet Arslan, Eskisehir High Speed Train to Afyonkarahisar via Antalya and said they care about connecting to work.

Then in July, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that the Antalya-Burdur-Isparta high-speed train route was determined from his Twitter account and the implementation projects would start.

However, in the recent days, there is some information that concerns us about the situation of Antalya-Burdur-Isparta High Speed Train route. According to the information in question, the line coming from Afyon is said to be by-pass by Burdur center where the university and the brigade is located and will pass through the Bucak district of Burdur and reach Antalya. However, the fact that the Burdur line has been closed to passenger transportation for a long time has confirmed this information.

On the other hand, 7 of Afyon. The unanswered question of 26 May 2017 on the transformation of Burdur Railway Station, which continues its activities under the Regional Directorate, into a Chief Office has now become more meaningful.

When all this is listed below, if the AKP government dismisses Burdur in the High Speed Train Project, this will not be a surprise to anyone.

As the people of Burdur, we hope that the AKP government does not make such a mistake to the people of Burdur.

  1. The most correct route of Istanbul Antalya YHT is Eskişehir-Konya Seydişehir-Manavgat-Antalya (Alanya) route. It costs much less. It is also a more usable line. The conventional line should be built from Burdur to Antalya port. Moreover, since the Seydişehir line will be connected from both Istanbul, Ankara and the Eastern Anatolia, passenger demand will be very high. It can even be done with build-operate-transfer.
