3 Percent of the 70rd Airport Construction is Finished

Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, who attended the 10th International Istanbul Transportation Congress and Fair held at the Istanbul Congress Center, shared the data on the 3rd airport project that Istanbul people are eagerly awaiting.

Stating that the center of world air transport was located ahead of Portugal 20 years ago, Ahmet Arslan said, “Today, exactly where our country is located. If the center of gravity of the world air transport is where you are, then we need to consider not only domestic transport but also international transport. As a matter of fact, the idea of ​​Istanbul New Airport came about like this. made his comment.

Stating that Istanbul New Airport has progressed close to 70 percent, Arslan stated that they will officially put the Istanbul New Airport into service on 29 October 2018 and that the runway complex, which serves 90 million passengers, will be finished in the first phase.

Arslan stated that they can serve 2023 million passengers with an airport with almost 18 runways until 200, and they will equip them with smart transportation systems and systems that the driver can direct without traffic congestion.
