İzmir Metropolitan Municipality will increase the line length to 26 kilometers by reaching İzmir Metro from Fahrettin Altay to Narlıdere. The construction tender of the line, which will be passed through the "deep tunnel" during the construction works, will be held on 20 December. Announcement of the international tender held on October 20, many organizations are showing interest in Turkey and worldwide. Even two weeks after the publication of the tender announcement, a total of 2 companies, 15 foreign and 17 domestic, have purchased the tender files and took the first step before the participation. This number is expected to increase further towards the tender date.
Two-stage tender
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has signed a loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the F.Altay - Narlıdere line, which will be composed of 7.2 kilometers and 7 kilometers. The first phase of the 2 progressive tender will be held on 20 December 2017. Technical offers will be presented in the first phase; 2 required evaluation result. financial proposals will be taken. Following the completion of the tender phase, the construction of the line is planned to start in early 2018. F.Altay makNarlıdere line consisting of 7 stations, Balçova, Çağdaş, Dokuz Eylül University Hospital, Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Narlıdere, Siteler and Kaymakamlık stations are located.
