Deputy General Secretary of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Zennube Albayrak said that they are trying to make the brand city of National Struggle Samsun a brand city in aesthetics.
The Metropolitan Municipality which carries Samsun to the future with its infrastructure and superstructure investments continues the struggle initiated in visual urban aesthetics which is one of the most important features of cities with high standard of living. In recent years, the Metropolitan Municipality has made important services available to the public and makes Samsun the first panoramic city of the Black Sea.
The projects that come to life within the scope of Metropolitan Municipality Aesthetic Board Decisions are finalized in the Graphic Design Branch Directorate and the objects are designed in the workshops and are reflected to the city by the teams of the Parks and Gardens Branch Directorate. Numerous aesthetic works add a different beauty to the city.
The areas that are evacuated from demolished illegal buildings are designed as park and garden arrangements for public use. Within this scope, the vacated area from the shops in the Wheat Market was turned into a park and flowered and seating groups were placed. Landscape arrangement was made in the middle area next to Mert River in Kılıçdede neighborhood. Table lamp, books, glasses figures, Samsun writing and wooden seating groups were placed in the area. Necatibey Elementary School in front of the park and wooden seating groups was the meeting point of students and their parents. The municipal junction was recreated and modernized with colorful flower pots and wooden seats.
PASTEL COLORS ARE USED
Park, garden, square and public areas of the roadside benches and bus stops repaired and painted with pastel colors Metropolitan Municipality, garbage buckets that cause an ugly image of nature to be integrated with grass wires. BIRD PARADISE IS INTRODUCED
Not neglecting to introduce the Kızılırmak Bird Sanctuary, one of the world's largest wetlands within the scope of its aesthetic studies, the Metropolitan Municipality placed photographs of delta birds on the middle refuge lighting poles between Çarşamba Airport and Sinop Road. The municipality, which has placed bird sculptures at Kılıçdede Junction, has decorated the facades of its buildings facing Cumhuriyet Square, viaduct legs, bus stops, roadside walls, rail system line safety fences with artistic bird figures. In addition, athletes and Olympic figures worthy of the 'Sports City Samsun' were placed.
ATATÜRK POSTER PANELS RENEWED
Due to the fact that the city is the symbol of the national struggle, the Municipality of Atatürk renewed the panels exhibiting the photographs of Atatürk and the old Samsun in many parts of the city with aesthetic designs. Providing services made with posters and information boards, the municipality showed the importance it attaches to aesthetics by covering and flowering the waiting huts at the tram stops.
WOMAN'S LOOK AT THE CITY
Deputy Secretary General Zennube Albayrak stated that he is looking at the city from the eyes of women while doing the works on urban aesthetics. “We are trying to make Samsun the brand city of National Struggle as a brand city in aesthetics.
