Environmentally friendly quality transportation in Kocaeli

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, with its works in the field of public transport, while increasing the quality of city travel, also gives importance to the protection of the environment. Today, the first row of environmental pollution factors is harmful gases emitted from vehicles to nature. Since 2010 in the public transport, the metropolitan city has been increasing the number of environmentally friendly natural gas buses and contributing to the prevention of environmental pollution.

303 INSTRUMENT NATURAL GAS VEHICLE

One of the biggest environmental problems of today is the impact of harmful gases emitted by the increasing traffic of vehicles in the big cities with the developing high technology and industry in the present century. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which adds natural gas vehicles to its fleet in addition to diesel engines, continues to set an example for our country with the existing 303 natural gas (CNG) buses in operation. With the introduction of natural gas (CNG) buses starting from 2010, exhaust emission, carbon monoxide gas content, 40% and 65% decrease were the most important factors in environmental pollution.

PROVIDE LARGE CONTRIBUTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Approximately 75 million km of services on natural gas (CNG) buses provided 23,63 tonnes of carbon monoxide and particulate emissions of diesel-powered vehicles, while 13,21 tonnes of carbon monoxide and particulates were released in environmentally friendly buses. If these rates are evaluated within the framework of today's understanding of environmental protection, they contribute greatly to the protection of the environment. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality will continue its public transportation services by spreading environmental awareness even more.

PRIVATE PUBLIC BUSES WILL BE NATURAL GAS

The use of natural gas vehicles in public transportation services is currently being implemented in municipal buses. However, in the coming period, the studies continue to be used in private public buses.
