Two competing railways combine Siemens and Bombardier operations

Siemens and Bombardier are preparing to sign a partnership with the Chinese CRRC in the 'railway' where they can get ahead of the competition.

Canadian train maker Bombardier and his German rival Siemens are discussing railroad operations. Sources say the talks have reached the final stage, and that the Bombardier-Siemens partnership will gain strength in the competition with the Chinese CRRC.

According to the statement, Bombardier-Siemens partnership will take place in two separate areas. Within the framework of the partnership, a signaling unit and a train, wagon production unit will be established.

Sources state that Bombardier will acquire more than 50 percent of the train and wagon production unit, and that Siemens will acquire around 80 percent of the thermalization division.
