Smart Cities and Rail System Workshop held

The Smart Cities and Rail System Workshop was held: The workshop on lı Smart Cities and Rail System Practices tay organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Rail System Department was held in the Sariyer District. In order to achieve the goal of the Smart City in Transportation Services under the Intelligent City Fiction, Turgay Gökdemir, the Head of the Rail System Department, made the opening speech of the workshop organized in order to ensure integration between the systems with innovative projects and a holistic approach.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Project Manager of Rail Systems Mr. Aslı Şahin Akyol, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Director of Rail System Mr. Feriha MERT, Director of Rail System of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Mr. Abdullah Demir, Director of Rail Systems, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Supported by GeoTech Group.

GeoTech Group CEO Dr. Kamil Eren, ARGEDOR Technical Manager Ender Yilmaz, ISBAK Smart City Coordinator Ersoy Pehlivan, GeoIT Technical Manager Yavuz Eren made presentations in the workshop where many experts; examples of the latest technologies were shared and awareness was raised about the participants.

Information about the projects carried out by the Rail System Department is implemented in this platform Archives Digitization and GIS Project implemented by the Directorate of Rail Systems, BIM Supported Rail System Projects in progress, Carrying the follow-up of Metro design and construction processes to a digital environment (Single Center) Rail System Information Platform (RSBP) project, Virtual Reality Applications and RayGIS Projects.

Thanks to this activity, where the participants both get information from the presentations and exchange ideas with each other, it was emphasized that the innovative investments of the Rail Systems are aimed to increase further.
