Ekol's China-Hungary railway line puts CRRC in motion

Ekol Logistics's railway line between China's Xi'an city and Hungary's Budapest city mobilized the Chinese State Railway Company (CRRC). CRRC has signed the "Cooperation Deepening Agreement between China-Europe Regular Expeditions" with 7 railway companies in order to connect China to Europe.

The Xi'an - Budapest line, launched by a Turkish company Ekol Logistics in cooperation with its regional partners, has activated the Chinese State Railway Company CRRC. Ekol Logistics opened the way for the regional railway companies to cooperate on April 4, 2017, by transporting 33 of their own 42 wagon containers and 6 country railways, which were loaded from Xi'an, China, to Budapest in 17 days.

According to the information obtained by the Deniz News Agency, the "Deepening Agreement for Cooperation of Sino-European Regular Expeditions" was signed between the railway organizations of 7 countries: China, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Poland and Russia.

The agreement is the first cooperation agreement signed by the Chinese railway organizations with the railway companies of the countries on the "One Generation-One Road" route between China and Europe.

According to the statement from the Chinese State Railway Company, the agreement aims to increase the share of the shipping market between Asia and Europe on the railway, as well as to further commercial cooperation with the route countries and to accelerate the economic development in these countries.

PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION STARTED IN 2011

Within the framework of "China-Europe Regular Train Schedules", which is one of the important cooperation projects of the "One Generation-One Road" initiative, a total of 2011 thousand 3 trains have been made since 577. Within the scope of the project, 593 flights were organized only in the first quarter of this year, and the flights increased by 175 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

On the other hand, the number of train services coming from Europe to China reached 198 in the same period, increasing by 187 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The number of Chinese cities currently making regular trains to China-Europe has reached 27, and these services reach 11 cities of 28 European countries.
